An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Eleazar in the 13th minute of play forced La Naranja Mecanica2's goalkeeper Modesto Igon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ildefonso Fidencio charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ildefonso Fidencio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Escalada booed when La Naranja Mecanica2 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ildefonso Fidencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Escalada's Humberto Johans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Gabrio in the 16th minute of play. Humberto Johans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Gamus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Elias Gamus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnoldo Elija sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the game, one of Escalada:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave La Naranja Mecanica2 a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Flavio Ubelteso, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Escalada's Humberto Johans. 1-0. The audience was convinced that Elias Gamus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Humberto Johans was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. After having played for 44 minutes, Albino Erramun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Escalada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albino Erramun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute, Christian Eleazar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Modesto Igon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elias Gamus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes, La Naranja Mecanica2's Simon Azibar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Humberto Johans came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Naranja Mecanica2 reached it. La Naranja Mecanica2's Modesto Igon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Eleazar in the 57th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Ernesto Gabrio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Eleazar in the 63rd minute of play forced La Naranja Mecanica2's goalkeeper Modesto Igon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Arnoldo Elija managed to get in a good position for a shot. Escalada's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnoldo Elija was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Modesto Igon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elias Gamus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Johans having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Escalada's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Gabrio came free, but Humberto Johans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto Gabrio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernesto Gabrio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Humberto Johans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th match minute, Escalada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio Tavio to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute of the match Flavio Ubelteso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Humberto Johans showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 82nd minute, Ernesto Gabrio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Naranja Mecanica2 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 87th minute Albino Erramun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Modesto Igon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. La Naranja Mecanica2's Modesto Igon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save La Naranja Mecanica2 from getting a goal against them. 90 minutes into the match, La Naranja Mecanica2's Elias Gamus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Humberto Johans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Escalada's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
