The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Agustin Llorian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute, Christian Eleazar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Escalada fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 10 minutes into the game, Albino Erramun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Escalada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Soc y Dep Mate Amargo the free kick. After 10 played minutes Escalada got a freekick which was hit by Albino Erramun. The audience thought a goal was coming when Narciso Rivas got free with Humberto Johans in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Escalada's Humberto Johans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Escalada from getting a goal against them. Santo Ibon kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Omar Uzuri kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Humberto Johans. That made the score 1-1 in the 26 minute of play. In the 35th minute, Teobaldo Sazon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Omar Uzuri came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Soc y Dep Mate Amargo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Omar Uzuri couldn't finish the play. Agustin Llorian was shown his second yellow card after 39 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Escalada booed when Soc y Dep Mate Amargo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustin Llorian didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Arnoldo Elija came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Escalada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnoldo Elija couldn't finish the play. After 42 minutes, Christian Eleazar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Escalada and the Soc y Dep Mate Amargo players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Soc y Dep Mate Amargo booed when Escalada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Eleazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Simon Ereinotz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Simon Ereinotz to make the kick off. Christian Eleazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Atilano Evarado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnoldo Elija got free with Atilano Evarado in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute Christian Eleazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atilano Evarado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Escalada's Christian Eleazar in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 77th minute Christian Eleazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atilano Evarado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnoldo Elija fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Evarado having to interfere. Atilano Evarado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albino Erramun in the 85th minute of play. When Soc y Dep Mate Amargo's Simon Ereinotz in 86 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Humberto Johans guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Christian Eleazar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Atilano Evarado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. If Arnoldo Elija had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Escalada players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
