After having played for 8 minutes, Aurelio Chayo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EL FONDO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelio Chayo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Evaristo Gumaro charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evaristo Gumaro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With an all-out effort, Cantera FC's Erasmo Ugaitz threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luisito Errapel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. EL FONDO's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Luisito Errapel 14 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. EL FONDO's Severo Sabin got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valentin Otsoko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Chayo in the 20th minute of the match. Evaristo Gumaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When EL FONDO's Aurelio Chayo in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cantera FC's goalie prevented a goal. Valentin Otsoko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Chayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After having played for 28 minutes, Severo Sabin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EL FONDO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severo Sabin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valentin Otsoko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Chayo in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcial Tono in the 36th minute of play forced Cantera FC's goalkeeper Valentin Otsoko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valentin Otsoko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Chayo in the 38th minute of the match. If Aurelio Chayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Aurelio Chayo managed to get in a good position for a shot. EL FONDO's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurelio Chayo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentin Otsoko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. EL FONDO's Erasmo Ugaitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save EL FONDO from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luisito Errapel to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Evaristo Gumaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. EL FONDO's Erasmo Ugaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisito Errapel in the 55th minute of play. When EL FONDO's Aurelio Chayo in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 70 minutes into the match, EL FONDO's goal looked a bit too open when Gregorio Intxixu came free, but Erasmo Ugaitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd match minute, Cantera FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonides Cordarell to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Leonides Cordarell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 76 minutes, Marcial Tono managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EL FONDO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcial Tono was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valentin Otsoko made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Aurelio Chayo sent off a good shot on target. If Marcial Tono had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Sabin in the 87th minute of play forced Cantera FC's goalkeeper Valentin Otsoko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurelio Chayo struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Valentin Otsoko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EL FONDO. If Severo Sabin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. EL FONDO were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
