The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the match, BETCO's Carlos Nataniel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erasmo Ugaitz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Nataniel in the 12th minute of play forced EL FONDO's goalkeeper Erasmo Ugaitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erasmo Ugaitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Nataniel in the 13th minute of the match. Erasmo Ugaitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Ibarra, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After 17 minutes, Clemente Rodriguez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BETCO and the EL FONDO players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th minute, Clemente Rodriguez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 21 minutes of play, EL FONDO's Aurelio Chayo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ahmet Arif Afacan was left in no man's land by his defense there! 26 minutes into the match, EL FONDO's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Nataniel came free, but Erasmo Ugaitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erasmo Ugaitz came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by BETCO's Carlos Nataniel. But to his dismay, Carlos Nataniel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Erasmo Ugaitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Nataniel in the 32nd minute of the match. Aurelio Chayo struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Ahmet Arif Afacan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EL FONDO. In the 43rd match minute, EL FONDO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cecilio Ur to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aurelio Chayo to make the kick off. EL FONDO's Erasmo Ugaitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save EL FONDO from getting a goal against them. 55 minutes into the game, Carlos Nataniel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Erasmo Ugaitz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Nataniel got free with Erasmo Ugaitz in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ahmet Arif Afacan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Chayo in the 61st minute of the match. Cecilio Ur hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the match, EL FONDO's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Ibarra came free, but Erasmo Ugaitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Carlos Nataniel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erasmo Ugaitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 85th minute, Severo Sabin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The EL FONDO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. After having played for 91 minutes, Amadeo Maule managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BETCO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeo Maule was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Hugo Ibarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The EL FONDO fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. BETCO were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
