Modesto Igon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisito Errapel, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. When Gregorio Intxixu came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Cantera FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gregorio Intxixu couldn't finish the play. In the 13th minute Elias Gamus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Otsoko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Modesto Igon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisito Errapel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the game, Baldomero Elorri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cantera FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Naranja Mecanica2 the free kick.
