EL FONDO's Cecilio Ur got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aurelio Chayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Otsoko having to interfere. A collision led to Cantera FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Baldomero Elorri hit a great ball. EL FONDO's Generoso Cordara shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 35th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Valentin Otsoko but with some difficulty. Aurelio Chayo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 37th minute. EL FONDO's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 38 minutes into the match, Severo Sabin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Valentin Otsoko, 3-0. Erasmo Ugaitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregorio Intxixu, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Valentin Otsoko came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by EL FONDO's Marcial Tono. But to his dismay, Marcial Tono quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Cecilio Ur's late challenge caught a Cantera FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cecilio Ur helped the player get up and apologised. Cecilio Ur hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the game's 57th minute Cantera FC's Jorge Walme took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Erasmo Ugaitz and thus the score was 5-1. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cantera FC's goalkeeper Valentin Otsoko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Valentin Otsoko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Chayo in the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th minute of the match Astor Jorrin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valentin Otsoko showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Severo Sabin scored 6-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valentin Otsoko, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Antonio Ramirez kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Valentin Otsoko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Chayo in the 97th minute of play. EL FONDO walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
