In the 14th minute, Evelio Senon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Madryn's Evelio Senon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Genaro Abalos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Kimetz in the 20th minute of play forced Madryn's goalkeeper Felipe Dino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Kimetz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcos Mitxaut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Madryn's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jorge Kimetz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Armando Todor struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Genaro Abalos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Madryn. Wilfredo Maria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Madryn's Armando Todor got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Jorge Kimetz made the kick off in the second half. Sumalao's Arsenio Argider suffered a sore thigh after 54 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 54 minutes into the game, Esteban Eufemio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Madryn's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sumalao the free kick. After a rather tough play, Madryn's Esteban Eufemio got a free kick in the 55th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evelio Senon couldn't finish the play. After 60 played minutes Sumalao got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Pasqual. Armando Todor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genaro Abalos having to interfere. Armando Todor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Genaro Abalos made a huge save. 69 minutes into the match, Sumalao's goalkeeper Genaro Abalos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Todor. Genaro Abalos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evelio Senon, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Madryn's Ismael Martxot slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Genaro Abalos. That made the score 0-1 after 73 minutes of play. Amadeo Garikoitz kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. With a little luck, Sumalao's Genaro Abalos got control of the ball when Armando Todor tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Evelio Senon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Genaro Abalos was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. In the 92nd match minute, Sumalao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Pasqual to maneuver through the defense. Armando Todor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 95 played minutes Sumalao got a freekick which was hit by Pastor Lehen. When the match was over Madryn could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sumalao throughout the match.
