The referee ignored Amaltea's protests and gave Aaron Ranolfo a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Florentino Bingen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Desiderio Beat. That made the score 2-0 in the 28 minute of play. After 41 minutes, Primitivo Rubio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Reyes and the Amaltea players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave Amaltea a penalty, 42 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Abel Bartuelo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Reyes's Leopoldo Raphael. 2-1. Leopoldo Raphael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cecilio Osasun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
