In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind PAPPOBLUES's goalkeeper Leandro Cresitobalo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, PAPPOBLUES's Leandro Cresitobalo got control of the ball when Luciano Arnalt tried to sneak it across the goal line. PAPPOBLUES's Leandro Cresitobalo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save PAPPOBLUES from getting a goal against them. Erasmo Precioso's late challenge caught a PAPPOBLUES's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erasmo Precioso helped the player get up and apologised. PAPPOBLUES's Eriberto Jakes was substituted for Natalio Godoy. Leandro Cresitobalo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mariano Loreto's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a rather tough play, Carcnaval's Marco Koldo got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Rolando Fero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severo Tabb having to interfere. Severo Tabb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Fero, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After having played for 90 minutes, Mariano Loreto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carcnaval's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Loreto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Fabricio Feliu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the final whistle sounded PAPPOBLUES left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Carcnaval.
