Faustino Mederi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Severo Tabb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Loreto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pedernal's zone, Mariano Loreto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesar Bertin came out of the goal and Mariano Loreto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Pedernal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Carcnaval were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Faustino Mederi was the one to do the kick off. Severo Tabb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustino Mederi, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Severo Tabb stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Faustino Mederi's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Epifanio Chorche struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Severo Tabb didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pedernal. In the 57th minute, Faustino Mederi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cesar Bertin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Loreto in the 62nd minute of play. If Luciano Arnalt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Luciano Arnalt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 66th minute, Elvio Oalo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ignacio Berriotxoa fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pedernal's protests and gave Ignacio Berriotxoa a yellow card for diving instead. Ignacio Berriotxoa kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. If Luciano Arnalt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Loreto in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cesar Bertin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 84th match minute, Pedernal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dante Theodore to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute Mariano Loreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Bertin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Pedernal fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Carcnaval were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
