After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Silvano Basajaun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dolores FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvano Basajaun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cesar Bertin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Pedernal booed when Dolores FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florencio Fertus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dolores FC's Eliseo Matxin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anastasio Perez in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Faustino Mederi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Pedernal's Epifanio Chorche got a free kick in the 51st minute. If Silvano Basajaun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. In the 61st minute of the match, Faustino Mederi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eliseo Matxin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Epifanio Chorche showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. The Dolores FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Pedernal to win.
