The audience was convinced that Hipolito Gipuzkoa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Garaona was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Saturnino Emmanuel's late challenge caught a SAN LORENZO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saturnino Emmanuel helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, PAPPOBLUES's Saturnino Emmanuel got a free kick in the 36th minute. Leandro Cresitobalo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicolas Koldobika's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicolas Koldobika stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marco Garaona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hipolito Gipuzkoa in the 53rd minute of the match. After 55 minutes, Nicolas Koldobika mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SAN LORENZO and the PAPPOBLUES players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of PAPPOBLUES booed when SAN LORENZO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Koldobika didn't get a good kick on the ball. The PAPPOBLUES fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 91 minutes into the game, Hipolito Gipuzkoa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Marco Garaona was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 95th minute, Nicolas Koldobika hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SAN LORENZO's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because PAPPOBLUES had won, even though SAN LORENZO had held more of the ball.
