Enrique Montel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Abel Poz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rogelio Goito went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Antonio Gil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Poz having to interfere. After 35 minutes, Leonel Guib mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chovet and the Maquito players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leonel Guib kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Abel Poz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Gil in the 36th minute of play. In the last second Abel Poz throw himself and got hold of the ball when Antonio Gil in the 37thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Maquito's Antonio Gil got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chovet's goalkeeper Abel Poz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rogelio Goito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Poz having to interfere. 2-1 became the score in the 44th minute when Antonio Gil elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Niceto Foro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antonio Gil stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Hugo Ursino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chovet's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Ursino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Montel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58th minute, Antonio Gil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rogelio Goito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abel Poz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Maquito's Antonio Gil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abel Poz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rogelio Goito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Abel Poz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rdth minute of the game Antonio Gil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chovet's Abel Poz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Chovet players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Maquito.
