The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of CHICHARELI FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Yaros:s goal. Eleuterio Lando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Bazkoare in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, CHICHARELI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustacio Hurko to maneuver through the defense. Leon Tomi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Humberto Sol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Godfredo Acevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, CHICHARELI FC's Eustacio Hurko got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Melquiades Transito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Humberto Sol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 82nd minute Ruperto Bakar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eleuterio Lando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leon Tomi in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Humberto Sol saved Yaros from getting behind. 96 minutes into the game, Melquiades Transito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CHICHARELI FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yaros the free kick. Melquiades Transito kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
