Spectators: 7187 (Terracing: 5392, Seating: 1653, VIP seats: 142) Apolo Kismi started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Ixaka got free with Patricio Tancredo in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Romulo Txanton hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Melquiades Chan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eduardo Lalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Patricio Tancredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romeo Etxekopar struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Melquiades Cugat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Athletico Bílbao. Apolo Kismi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Cugat having to interfere. Melquiades Cugat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apolo Kismi in the 26th minute of the match. A collision led to Athletico Bílbao getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Apolo Kismi hit a great ball. Melquiades Chan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eduardo Lalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Patricio Tancredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Apolo Kismi notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Chapuy's Melquiades Cugat. Melquiades Cugat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Romulo Txanton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Apolo Kismi scored 0-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Melquiades Cugat, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Chapuy's zone, Apolo Kismi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Cugat came out of the goal and Apolo Kismi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

54 minutes into the match, Eduardo Lalla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patricio Tancredo. Athletico Bílbao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eduardo Lalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 57th minute, Alonzo Feliz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Apolo Kismi in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Melquiades Cugat prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 60 minutes, Alonzo Feliz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chapuy and the Athletico Bílbao players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 60 played minutes Chapuy got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Feliz. Patricio Tancredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melquiades Chan in the 62nd minute of play. Athletico Bílbao's Patricio Tancredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Lalla in the 66th minute of play. Alonzo Feliz hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. When Rodrigo Lohitzun fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Athletico Bílbao's protests and gave Rodrigo Lohitzun a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th minute, Rodrigo Lohitzun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patricio Tancredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melquiades Chan in the 72nd minute of play. Romeo Etxekopar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Melquiades Cugat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Chapuy's goalkeeper Melquiades Cugat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romeo Etxekopar. 85 minutes into the match, Athletico Bílbao's Romeo Etxekopar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Melquiades Cugat narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Athletico Bílbao's Romeo Etxekopar got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 95 minutes of play, Athletico Bílbao's Romeo Etxekopar made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Melquiades Cugat was left in no man's land by his defense there! Athletico Bílbao played a much better game than Chapuy and deserved their victory. The Chapuy players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
