Flavio Incendio hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in RS1990's zone, Rodolfo Leocadio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Phil Dietz came out of the goal and Rodolfo Leocadio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, RS1990's Flavio Incendio got a free kick in the 18th minute. Fermin Fraco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Guaberto Veto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guaberto Veto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fermin Fraco's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. 29 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo de Almagro's Amadeo Gorri broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 32 minutes, Jeronimo Silbestre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RS1990's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeronimo Silbestre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in San Lorenzo de Almagro's zone, Fermin Fraco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guaberto Veto came out of the goal and Fermin Fraco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fermin Fraco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ulises Abancens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88thth minute of the game Fermin Fraco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Lorenzo de Almagro's Guaberto Veto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ulises Abancens who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Phil Dietz when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
