San Lorenzo de Almagro's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Benjamin Ramond ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Benjamin Ramond almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but San Lorenzo de Almagro's Guaberto Veto did a great save. After 17 minutes, Jonathan Chus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Lorenzo de Almagro and the Deportivo Lapala players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Deportivo Lapala booed when San Lorenzo de Almagro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Chus didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Hugo Abecia sped through San Lorenzo de Almagro's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Guaberto Veto. 30 minutes into the game, Gaudencio Castulo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Deportivo Lapala's Feliberto Salvadore quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a rather tough play, San Lorenzo de Almagro's Candido Mannie got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Leonel Camerino made the kick off in the second half. Bartolo Hurko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Veto having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Camerino in the 61st minute of play forced San Lorenzo de Almagro's goalkeeper Guaberto Veto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, Bartolo Hurko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Leonel Camerino took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Guaberto Veto to make any attempt to save it. Bartolo Hurko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Rodolfo Leocadio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Uriel Berdoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Leocadio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uriel Berdoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Leocadio in the 94th minute of play. Uriel Berdoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulises Abancens's shot from short distance in the 95th minute.
