Cleto Pio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Chalanta's Cleto Pio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Crispo in the 22nd minute of play. Cleto Pio made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Ubaldo Gervaso sent off a good shot on target. Justo Maraman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Cleto Pio made a huge save. When Mario Che fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chalanta's protests and gave Mario Che a yellow card for diving instead.
