Armando Primo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cornelio Laurin. Nimbus's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 17th minute Siro Lauren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Laurin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 18 played minutes Nimbus got a freekick which was hit by Justo Maraman. Cleto Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The supporters of Nimbus booed when Paikín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siro Lauren didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 24 minutes, Justo Maraman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nimbus and the Paikín players grew even worse after the yellow card. Justo Maraman hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julio Fonda in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cornelio Laurin saved Nimbus from getting behind. In the 29th match minute, Nimbus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justo Maraman to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Paikín's Christian Chesus got control of the ball when Ubaldo Gervaso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cornelio Laurin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siro Lauren, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Julio Fonda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Julio Fonda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paikín's supporters rose to their feet, but Julio Fonda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornelio Laurin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abelardo Crispo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julio Fonda in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cornelio Laurin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abelardo Crispo couldn't finish the play. If Siro Lauren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cornelio Laurin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julio Fonda in the 78th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Julio Fonda kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cornelio Laurin. That made the score 0-1 in the 80 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Paikín's zone, Abelardo Crispo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Chesus came out of the goal and Abelardo Crispo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Siro Lauren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Cornelio Laurin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Siro Lauren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Paikín could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Nimbus throughout the match.
