With 33 minutes on the clock, Dalmacio Eate commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Prudencio Damario walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 44 minutes into the match, Roman Herena notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Los guerreros's Emilio Macario. Emilio Macario was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Calmucó were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
