The referee ignored Chachirita FC's protests and gave Faustino Tristan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Palmarcito booed when Chachirita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustino Tristan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Palmarcito's zone, Urbano Francesco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelio Ricart came out of the goal and Urbano Francesco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aurelio Ricart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basilio Venceslas, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Hernan Lordi put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Florencio Montrelle.
