In the 14thth minute of the game Melquiades Cheche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Independiente's Arnaldo Lehior was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Norberto Remigio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Eulalio Sagrario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnaldo Lehior took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florencio Veto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jonatan Miro, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 21 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Eulalio Sagrario was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Norberto Remigio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Eulalio Sagrario made a huge save. In the 32nd minute of the match Victoriano Rodas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eulalio Sagrario showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Melquiades Cheche came free, but Arnaldo Lehior reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Santi RW's goal looked a bit too open when Jonatan Miro came free, but Eulalio Sagrario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Independiente's Norberto Remigio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. With his leg Arnaldo Lehior managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Santi RW's Florencio Veto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Virgilio Iratzeder kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. If Florencio Veto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eulalio Sagrario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Remigio in the 57th minute of play. Norberto Remigio might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eulalio Sagrario. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Florencio Veto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Lehior having to interfere. Santi RW's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independiente the free kick. Pablo Fortun kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Jonatan Miro put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Eulalio Sagrario. For all the effort they put into the match, the Santi RW players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Independiente.
