After having played for 2 minutes, Evaristo Raphael managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estudiantes de La Plata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evaristo Raphael was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Estudiantes de La Plata booed when SALE!!! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Martxel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute of the match Ernesto Goren shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Esteve Gaitan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, SALE!!!'s Nunez Lizbeth got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute, Evaristo Raphael got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Evaristo Raphael notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SALE!!!'s Esteve Gaitan. Esteve Gaitan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, SALE!!!'s Silvestre Orlin got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 22nd match minute, Estudiantes de La Plata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Goren to maneuver through the defense. SALE!!!'s Esteve Gaitan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Raphael in the 30th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Evaristo Raphael in the 34th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Esteve Gaitan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Raphael in the 38th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silvestre Orlin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Evaristo Raphael recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Esteve Gaitan. Evaristo Raphael showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Esteve Gaitan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stamatis Argyrakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esteve Gaitan was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Cosmin Vochin. Esteve Gaitan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stamatis Argyrakis in the 67th minute of the match. If Stamatis Argyrakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 minutes, Stamatis Argyrakis made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. SALE!!!'s Esteve Gaitan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Marcelino Corderun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Evaristo Raphael sped through SALE!!!'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Esteve Gaitan. The audience was convinced that Stamatis Argyrakis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Esteve Gaitan was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. A hard shot 85 in the game by Evaristo Raphael from a close distance when the talented Esteve Gaitan managed to make a qualified save. SALE!!!'s players were relieved. A hard shot by Cosmin Vochin from long distance, 97 minutes into the match, got Esteve Gaitan's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When the final whistle sounded Estudiantes de La Plata left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SALE!!!.
