Leon's Marcelino Bertol got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gavino Pere was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 17th minute. Leon's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Jacobo Damario hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the match, Leon's Nereo Evarado broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Todd FC's zone, Marcelino Bertol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Modesto Firmin came out of the goal and Marcelino Bertol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leon's Gavino Pere got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amancio Errando kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Leon's Marcelino Bertol got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Marcelino Bertol made the kick off in the second half. Marcelino Bertol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gavino Pere fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Firmin having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Marcelino Bertol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Marcelino Bertol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leon's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelino Bertol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Modesto Firmin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcelino Bertol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 70th minute Simon Endura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Evangelista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76thth minute of the game Gavino Pere who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Todd FC's Modesto Firmin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Amancio Errando hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 83rd match minute, Leon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Leizarraga to maneuver through the defense. Leon walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
