Silvestre Orlin started the match with the kick off. A collision led to SALE!!! getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Benjamin Martxel hit a great ball. Marcelino Bertol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Esteve Gaitan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Marcelino Bertol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Esteve Gaitan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelino Bertol in the 21st minute of the match. If Gavino Pere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gavino Pere fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteve Gaitan having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SALE!!!'s zone, Gavino Pere stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteve Gaitan came out of the goal and Gavino Pere tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Leon's Marcelino Bertol in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SALE!!!'s goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, SALE!!!'s Nunez Lizbeth got a free kick in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Nunez Lizbeth was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SALE!!!'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leon the free kick. After 31 played minutes SALE!!! got a freekick which was hit by Nunez Lizbeth. 32 minutes into the match, SALE!!!'s goal looked a bit too open when Marcelino Bertol came free, but Esteve Gaitan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcelino Corderun received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alberto Evangelista came out and tried to block the shot, but Marcelino Corderun slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 41st minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelino Bertol made a kick off. After 54 minutes SALE!!!'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nereo Evarado who took care of the corner kick. Esteve Gaitan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelino Bertol's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute, Gavino Pere got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Orlin in the 61st minute of play forced Leon's goalkeeper Alberto Evangelista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Benjamin Martxel managed to get in a good position for a shot. SALE!!!'s supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Martxel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Evangelista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Corderun in the 72nd minute of play forced Leon's goalkeeper Alberto Evangelista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, SALE!!!'s Esteve Gaitan got control of the ball when Gavino Pere tried to sneak it across the goal line. Esteve Gaitan made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Gavino Pere sent off a good shot on target. Alberto Evangelista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvestre Orlin in the 82nd minute of the match. When Marcelino Bertol came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Leon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelino Bertol couldn't finish the play. If Marcelino Bertol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to SALE!!! getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Godfredo Luke hit a great ball. SALE!!!'s Esteve Gaitan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save SALE!!! from getting a goal against them. Marcelino Bertol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, SALE!!!'s Lino Nastasio got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in SALE!!!'s zone, Marcelino Bertol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteve Gaitan came out of the goal and Marcelino Bertol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
