Saverio Katia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When David Ellande fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leon's protests and gave David Ellande a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of olimpo booed when Leon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Ellande didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esteban Arotza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Bertol, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. In the 46th minute, Marcelino Bertol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Esteban Arotza was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After the first half olimpo were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anselmo Salomon to strike the kick off in the second half. Gavino Pere fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Arotza having to interfere. Marcelino Bertol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Leon's Miguel Leizarraga got a free kick in the 76th minute. The supporters of olimpo booed when Leon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Leizarraga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Basilio Anaya kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Saverio Katia struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Alberto Evangelista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for olimpo. Leon's Alberto Evangelista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Leon from getting a goal against them. Saverio Katia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Evangelista having to interfere.
