Claudio David took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnaldo Aurken. Arnaldo Aurken dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in La Oreja De Van Gogh's zone, Claudio David stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnaldo Aurken came out of the goal and Claudio David tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnaldo Aurken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio David in the 18th minute of the match. After some careless play in the La Oreja De Van Gogh defense, Anibal Ursino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnaldo Aurken. The La Oreja De Van Gogh fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnaldo Aurken should have stopped the shot. Anibal Ursino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Arnaldo Aurken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudio David scored 0-3 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnaldo Aurken, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Porter Unicomb struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Arnaldo Aurken didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Escorpiones FC. Narciso Hori blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnaldo Aurken having to make a save. If Narciso Hori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. La Oreja De Van Gogh's Arnaldo Aurken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anibal Ursino in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Claudio David got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 39th minute, Anibal Ursino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnaldo Aurken was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. When Dionisio Abeitia fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Oreja De Van Gogh's protests and gave Dionisio Abeitia a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Escorpiones FC booed when La Oreja De Van Gogh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dionisio Abeitia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute, Anibal Ursino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute, Escorpiones FC's Claudio David dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. When the match was over Escorpiones FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than La Oreja De Van Gogh throughout the match.
