Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Igor Llin made the kick off which started today's match. Braulio Argenis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvador Raebert in the 15th minute of the match. Braulio Argenis made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Lucas Teyo sent off a good shot on target. After 25 minutes of play, La Funcional's Prospero Noe made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benigno Elia was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to La Funcional getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Ambrosio Laffitte hit a great ball. After having played for 37 minutes, Melchor Playo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bicha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melchor Playo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melchor Playo in the 39th minute of play forced La Funcional's goalkeeper Braulio Argenis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Igor Llin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Bicha getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Enrique Abilio hit a great ball. When Baldomiro Orti fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bicha's protests and gave Baldomiro Orti a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th match minute, Bicha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomiro Orti to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Melchor Playo to make the kick off. Lucas Teyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Braulio Argenis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute Igor Llin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benigno Elia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 65 minutes, Bonifacio Cutberto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bicha and the La Funcional players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Bicha:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of La Funcional:s goal. In the 66th minute there was a penalty for La Funcional. Oscar Osasun stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Benigno Elia. 0-2. During the 69th minute of the match Bonifacio Cutberto completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bonifacio Cutberto a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of La Funcional booed when Bicha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bonifacio Cutberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Igor Llin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lucas Teyo struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Braulio Argenis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bicha. Lucas Teyo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Braulio Argenis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Lucas Teyo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Prospero Noe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benigno Elia having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in La Funcional's zone, Lucas Teyo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Braulio Argenis came out of the goal and Lucas Teyo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lucas Teyo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lucas Teyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Braulio Argenis having to interfere. In the 98th minute Lucas Teyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braulio Argenis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The La Funcional supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing La Funcional would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
