Morgan Nyqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Ubarna, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 40th minute, Epifanio Conrao got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Freddy Favila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Epifanio Conrao in the 41st minute of the match. Melchor Steven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Morgan Nyqvist having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Epifanio Conrao made a kick off. Saverio Bernard kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo's Benicio Jusepe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Freddy Favila narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Morgan Nyqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Ubarna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Freddy Favila came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by San Lorenzo's Epifanio Conrao. But to his dismay, Epifanio Conrao quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Morgan Nyqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melchor Steven in the 62nd minute of play. Benicio Jusepe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Freddy Favila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. San Lorenzo's Morgan Nyqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Ubarna in the 71st minute of play. After a rather tough play, San Lorenzo's Mauricio Oxel got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Felix Ieltxu shot from long distance in the 74th minute, but Morgan Nyqvist was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Morgan Nyqvist successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 78 minutes into the game, Luciano Elazar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Perdemos siempre perdemos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Lorenzo the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Perdemos siempre perdemos's zone, Epifanio Conrao stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddy Favila came out of the goal and Epifanio Conrao tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 84 minutes into the match, Benicio Jusepe notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Perdemos siempre perdemos's Freddy Favila. Freddy Favila was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 89th minute, Melchor Steven ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Morgan Nyqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
