The supporters of MONOS VERDES booed when Calmayo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cirilo Bemabe didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to MONOS VERDES getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Florentino Ruisko hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, Calmayo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Uxio came free, but Mauro Guillelmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvaro Uxio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mauro Guillelmo having to make a save. Eduardo Ado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Mauro Guillelmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Melquiades Damario came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the MONOS VERDES fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melquiades Damario couldn't finish the play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauro Guillelmo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leon Hug stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 59 played minutes Calmayo FC got a freekick which was hit by Cirilo Bemabe. Roque Duarte charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roque Duarte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Calmayo FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play.
