An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolo Matthew in the 19th minute of play forced Fakas FC.'s goalkeeper Prospero Orlondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Fakas FC.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Xabat came free, but Prospero Orlondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 25 minutes, Jonas Valadares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iván De Pineda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonas Valadares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iván De Pineda's Gaston Xabat got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonas Valadares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Orlondo having to interfere. After 33 minutes, Alberto Ciano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fakas FC. and the Iván De Pineda players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Fakas FC. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Iván De Pineda were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andres Vermudo made a kick off. Fakas FC.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gaston Xabat 54 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. After 58 played minutes Iván De Pineda got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Valadares. Fakas FC.'s Prospero Orlondo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Xabat in the 64th minute of play. Iván De Pineda's Jonas Valadares got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonas Valadares took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Prospero Orlondo. Prospero Orlondo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Prospero Orlondo was a little too slow when Jonas Valadares got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 0-6. Prospero Orlondo made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Gaston Xabat sent off a good shot on target. If Gaston Xabat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gaston Xabat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Orlondo having to interfere. If Jonas Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonas Valadares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Prospero Orlondo having to make a save. Prospero Orlondo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaston Xabat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Gaston Xabat's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Prospero Orlondo was relentless in the 99th minute of the game. When the match was over Iván De Pineda could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fakas FC. throughout the match.
