The referee ignored Calmayo FC's protests and gave Fabio Jusepe a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd match minute, Calmayo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Jusepe to maneuver through the defense. Calmayo FC's Mauro Guillelmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Chorache in the 5th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Isaac Erramun put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mauro Guillelmo. In the 11th minute Carmelo Gabrio suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 12th match minute, Calmayo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robustiano Peio to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the match, El Facu's goalkeeper Bernardino Chucho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baldomero Giraldo. In the 25th minute, Baldomero Giraldo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Calmayo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. If Leon Hug had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardino Chucho made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Baldomero Giraldo sent off a good shot on target. 37 minutes into the match, El Facu's goalkeeper Bernardino Chucho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baldomero Giraldo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Hug in the 38th minute of play forced El Facu's goalkeeper Bernardino Chucho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baldomero Giraldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardino Chucho having to interfere. El Facu's Bernardino Chucho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Hug in the 42nd minute of play. Leon Hug sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leon Hug made a kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Roque Duarte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Calmayo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Facu the free kick. Roque Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Bernardino Chucho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomero Giraldo in the 58th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Emanuel Chorache got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baldomero Giraldo in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernardino Chucho saved El Facu from getting behind. Emanuel Chorache struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Mauro Guillelmo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Facu. Baldomero Giraldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardino Chucho having to interfere. Filomeno Gonzales, 81 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 83rd minute Leon Hug shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardino Chucho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leon Hug recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Calmayo FC's Baldomero Giraldo got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leon Hug struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Bernardino Chucho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calmayo FC. Bernardino Chucho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomero Giraldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched El Facu eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
