Chasicó's Lázaro Ortzi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Chasicó from getting a goal against them. After 13 minutes, Roque Duarte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Calmayo FC and the Chasicó players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roque Duarte hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the match, Lisandro Rioja had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mauro Guillelmo. Calmayo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lisandro Rioja was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 19 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chasicó! When the match had been going on for 21 minutes, Calmayo FC's Silverio Igon got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Lázaro Ortzi. 24 minutes into the match, Chasicó's Casimiro Espiridion sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mauro Guillelmo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lázaro Ortzi made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Baldomero Giraldo sent off a good shot on target. Mauro Guillelmo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Rioja in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Casimiro Espiridion got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chasicó's Lázaro Ortzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Hug in the 34th minute of play. Baldomero Giraldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lázaro Ortzi having to interfere. Baldomero Giraldo struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Lázaro Ortzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calmayo FC. Lázaro Ortzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Hug in the 46th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leon Hug made a kick off. Baldomero Giraldo scored 3-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lázaro Ortzi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomero Giraldo in the 61st minute of play forced Chasicó's goalkeeper Lázaro Ortzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd match minute, Chasicó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Rosario to maneuver through the defense. Baldomero Giraldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Lázaro Ortzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Chasicó's Fabio Rosario got a free kick in the 67th minute. Baldomero Giraldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lázaro Ortzi having to interfere. Leon Hug took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lázaro Ortzi. Lázaro Ortzi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Casimiro Espiridion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Mauro Guillelmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hipolito Firme hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the match, Chasicó's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Hug came free, but Lázaro Ortzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabio Jax hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Chasicó's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
