The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Sarmiento FC's Fausto Florinio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Saul Lorenz. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. When Fausto Florinio came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Sarmiento FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Florinio couldn't finish the play. Saul Lorenz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Leizarraga in the 26th minute of the match. When Andres Frederico came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Ranchillos AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andres Frederico couldn't finish the play. Segundo Xabat blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Matias Isidor having to make a save. In the 31st minute Andres Frederico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Isidor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Segundo Xabat came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Ranchillos AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Segundo Xabat couldn't finish the play. Arnaldo Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arnaldo Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sarmiento FC's Arnaldo Barbosa got a free kick in the 36th minute. After having played for 39 minutes, Segundo Xabat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ranchillos AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Segundo Xabat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matias Isidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Xabat in the 41st minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Fausto Florinio made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Ranchillos AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Florinio came free, but Saul Lorenz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Segundo Xabat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Andres Frederico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andres Frederico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Matias Isidor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 84th minute of the match Arnaldo Barbosa completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Arnaldo Barbosa a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The Sarmiento FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
