Feliberto Dorio started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Florinio in the 6th minute of play forced San Uriel c.f.'s goalkeeper Ismael Tonio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Tomás Jesco fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Uriel c.f.'s protests and gave Tomás Jesco a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sarmiento FC booed when San Uriel c.f. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Jesco didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Leizarraga in the 15th minute of play forced San Uriel c.f.'s goalkeeper Ismael Tonio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sarmiento FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Vinicio Galo hit a great ball. Ismael Tonio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Leizarraga, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Feliberto Dorio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Matias Isidor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Leopoldo Dantel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gervasio Sindo shot from long distance in the 27th minute, but Matias Isidor was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Sarmiento FC's zone, Feliberto Dorio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matias Isidor came out of the goal and Feliberto Dorio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Leizarraga scored 0-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ismael Tonio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Matias Isidor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Moises Bazkoare in the 37th minute. San Uriel c.f. were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Sarmiento FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomás Jesco took the corner. The corner ended in Tomás Jesco almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sarmiento FC's Matias Isidor did a great save. In the 46th minute of the match, Feliberto Dorio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Matias Isidor saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 47 minutes, Leopoldo Dantel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarmiento FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leopoldo Dantel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anacleto Primo during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to San Uriel c.f. getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Anacleto Primo hit a great ball. In the 57th minute Fausto Florinio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Tonio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Feliberto Dorio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Moises Bazkoare recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Florinio in the 65th minute of play forced San Uriel c.f.'s goalkeeper Ismael Tonio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Feliberto Dorio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The San Uriel c.f. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 69 minutes into the game, Froilan Sanchez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sarmiento FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Uriel c.f. the free kick. Froilan Sanchez hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Feliberto Dorio, 82 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 97 minutes into the game, Sarmiento FC's Carlos Leizarraga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ismael Tonio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2.
