One of Sarmiento FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AC LEON:s goal. 12 minutes into the game, Sarmiento FC's Fausto Florinio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Clemente Mincho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Anier Ostargi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Matias Isidor firmly grabbed it by the left post. Severiano Bibiano was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 21st minute. AC LEON's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Sarmiento FC booed when AC LEON was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iker Tadzio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fausto Florinio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Clemente Mincho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anier Ostargi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matias Isidor having to interfere. If Severiano Bibiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matias Isidor made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Anier Ostargi sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Severiano Bibiano made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Sarmiento FC's zone, Anier Ostargi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matias Isidor came out of the goal and Anier Ostargi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Fausto Florinio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felipe Tipi hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Carlos Leizarraga kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Clemente Mincho. That made the score 2-2 in the 67 minute of play. After having played for 74 minutes, Anier Ostargi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC LEON's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anier Ostargi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 75 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Dantel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sarmiento FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC LEON the free kick. In the 75th minute, Leopoldo Dantel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Severiano Bibiano managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC LEON's supporters rose to their feet, but Severiano Bibiano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matias Isidor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Matias Isidor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anier Ostargi, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Matias Isidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severiano Bibiano in the 79th minute of the match. Clemente Mincho made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Carlos Leizarraga sent off a good shot on target. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severiano Bibiano couldn't finish the play. AC LEON's Clemente Mincho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Florinio in the 90th minute of play. After 91 minutes, Iker Tadzio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AC LEON and the Sarmiento FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by AC LEON's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Igor Theodore was slow to take the kick. During this time Sarmiento FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Sarmiento FC's Igor Theodore to fire away a dangerous shot which Clemente Mincho despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
