Apolo Kauldi was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 54 minutes into the match. After 56 minutes of play, Deportivo Charuto's Victor Tercero made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celedonio Silvino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benito Sal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ildefonso Iraitz having to interfere. When Clodoveo Sayveon came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Deportivo Charuto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clodoveo Sayveon couldn't finish the play. When Ciriaco Ferman fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quijana AFC's protests and gave Ciriaco Ferman a yellow card for diving instead. Aristides Austin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. In the 68th minute, Cristobal Espiridion made a precise shot to the right of Ildefonso Iraitz. Deportivo Charuto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Celedonio Silvino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristides Austin in the 74th minute of play. In the 79th minute Aristides Austin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celedonio Silvino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Barto during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 85 minutes into the match, Quijana AFC's Benito Sal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ildefonso Iraitz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 86th minute Aristides Austin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celedonio Silvino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aristides Austin might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Celedonio Silvino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aristides Austin ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clodoveo Sayveon in the 92nd minute of play forced Quijana AFC's goalkeeper Celedonio Silvino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 93 played minutes Quijana AFC got a freekick which was hit by Cristobal Espiridion. Celedonio Silvino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristides Austin in the 97th minute of the match. If Benito Sal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Deportivo Charuto's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
