Sebastian Atarratze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Generoso Mancio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teofilo Reno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celedonio Silvino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Overlop's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Benito Sal scored to the left of an out of position Generoso Mancio, making the score, 1-0. After 31 played minutes Quijana AFC got a freekick which was hit by Candido Txomin. Elvio Tristan took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Celedonio Silvino. Celedonio Silvino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonides Lobo to strike the kick off in the second half. After 58 played minutes Quijana AFC got a freekick which was hit by Candido Txomin. Leonides Lobo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Celedonio Silvino. Quijana AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Damaso Obeko during the 68th minute. Quijana AFC's Celedonio Silvino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Quijana AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 95th match minute, Overlop was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Marko to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle went the supporters of Overlop were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Quijana AFC side.
