Caspichango's Jimeno Ourente got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 28 minutes, Basilio Bertin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caspichango's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basilio Bertin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vladimiro Policarpio kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basilio Bertin in the 31st minute of play forced ROMAN F.C.'s goalkeeper Geronimo Francis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geronimo Francis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimeno Ourente in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Basilio Bertin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jimeno Ourente struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Geronimo Francis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caspichango. Geronimo Francis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basilio Bertin, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the match, ROMAN F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Estebano came free, but Geronimo Francis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 minutes, Rogelio Fraco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ROMAN F.C. and the Caspichango players grew even worse after the yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgard Peruanton to make the kick off. After 66 minutes of play, ROMAN F.C.'s Luisito Seguinus made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Melchor Lazcano was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Cristo Urritz fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caspichango's protests and gave Cristo Urritz a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of ROMAN F.C. booed when Caspichango was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristo Urritz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute, Jimeno Ourente reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Geronimo Francis. The goal made the score 2-5. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basilio Bertin couldn't finish the play.
