In the 12th minute Basilio Bertin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Pello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Damaso Banegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Estebano in the 19th minute of play forced Sabinistas FC's goalkeeper Genaro Pello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Genaro Pello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basilio Bertin in the 22nd minute of play. When Flavio Lauaxeta came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Sabinistas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavio Lauaxeta couldn't finish the play. Guillermo Basajaun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Melchor Lazcano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Flavio Lauaxeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Sabinistas FC's Guillermo Basajaun got a free kick in the 30th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Flavio Lauaxeta in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melchor Lazcano saved Caspichango from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Lucado in the 40th minute of play forced Sabinistas FC's goalkeeper Genaro Pello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivan Nerio hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the match, Basilio Bertin notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sabinistas FC's Genaro Pello. Genaro Pello was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After 55 minutes of play, Caspichango's Basilio Bertin made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Genaro Pello was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 58th minute, Blas Jakobe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sabinistas FC's Genaro Pello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimeno Ourente in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Caspichango's Basilio Bertin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Marcelo Nalo's late challenge caught a Sabinistas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelo Nalo helped the player get up and apologised. Caspichango's Melchor Lazcano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Lauaxeta in the 87th minute of play. Flavio Lauaxeta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flavio Lauaxeta scored 1-3 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Melchor Lazcano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Chants of Caspichango echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Sabinistas FC had held the ball for most of the match.
