The audience was convinced that Higinio Reyes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Angelo Beliran was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Higinio Reyes in the 20th minute of play forced Pirula F.C's goalkeeper Angelo Beliran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38thth minute of the game Silvano Mundo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caspichango's Delmar Frutos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pirula F.C's zone, Claudio Hurko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Beliran came out of the goal and Claudio Hurko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silvano Mundo to strike the kick off in the second half. Feliberto Abreu hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Aaron Gorka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Delmar Frutos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Gorka in the 65th minute of play forced Caspichango's goalkeeper Delmar Frutos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvano Mundo in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Delmar Frutos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pirula F.C's Angelo Beliran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Pirula F.C from getting a goal against them. When Pirula F.C's Silvano Mundo in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Caspichango's goalie prevented a goal. Feliberto Abreu's late challenge caught a Pirula F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Feliberto Abreu helped the player get up and apologised. After 81 played minutes Caspichango got a freekick which was hit by Feliberto Abreu. In the 82nd minute of the match Edgard Rodriguez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Delmar Frutos skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Gorka in the 87th minute of play forced Caspichango's goalkeeper Delmar Frutos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baldomero Eufrasio hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute of the match Pirula F.C got a corner. Caspichango's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edgard Rodriguez ran over to the corner to take the kick. Delmar Frutos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Gorka, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Silvano Mundo might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Delmar Frutos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvano Mundo ran back to his position shaking his head. Despite being the better team, Caspichango failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
