Emanuel Otsando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Teo Cucao made a huge save. In the 19th minute Pastor Cordero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teo Cucao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teo Cucao was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pastor Cordero showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 24 minute of play. In the 29th minute, Atletico Darwin's Emanuel Otsando dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. The supporters of Atletico Darwin booed when tangalanga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prudencio Omero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Otsando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teo Cucao having to interfere.

Silvio Martinez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With 60 minutes on the clock, Mario Perez commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 60 minutes into the game, one of Atletico Darwin:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Atletico Darwin:s Ariel Rodriguez showed great skill when he stopped Maximiliano Jatsu:s penalty. After a long run with the ball, Maximiliano Jatsu did a trick in the 63rd minute in front of Atletico Darwin's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 4-2. An impressive performance by tangalanga's Maximiliano Jatsu! Teo Cucao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Otsando in the 68th minute of play.
