After 5 minutes of play, Caraguatay FC's Timoteo Abaurre made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anselmo Txaran was left in no man's land by his defense there! Timoteo Abaurre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Txaran having to interfere. Timoteo Abaurre took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anselmo Txaran. Anselmo Txaran dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 18 minutes into the game, Filiberto Abella was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Moretti FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caraguatay FC the free kick. Filiberto Abella hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Real Moretti FC's Victoriano Bazkoare slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Amadeo Quiroga. That made the score 1-2 after 21 minutes of play. When Nestor Ixona fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caraguatay FC's protests and gave Nestor Ixona a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Caraguatay FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Nestor Ixona hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timoteo Abaurre in the 27th minute of play forced Real Moretti FC's goalkeeper Anselmo Txaran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Timoteo Abaurre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Anselmo Txaran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herminio Bastia got free with Amadeo Quiroga in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute, Victoriano Bazkoare got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Timoteo Abaurre in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anselmo Txaran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victoriano Bazkoare made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Nestor Ixona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute there was a penalty for Real Moretti FC. Danilo Urtzi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Amadeo Quiroga. 2-2. Real Moretti FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Timoteo Abaurre 68 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-3. Victoriano Bazkoare fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Quiroga having to interfere. Real Moretti FC's Anselmo Txaran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timoteo Abaurre in the 79th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Roman Shantala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Real Moretti FC's Anselmo Txaran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Real Moretti FC from getting a goal against them. Caraguatay FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Timoteo Abaurre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anselmo Txaran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Marcelino Orlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caraguatay FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
