Timoteo Abaurre kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Claudio Nataniel made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Nestor Ixona sent off a good shot on target. Manchester City's Claudio Nataniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Manchester City from getting a goal against them. In the 22nd minute Timoteo Abaurre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Nataniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caraguatay FC's Amadeo Quiroga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafin Soin in the 62nd minute of play. Caraguatay FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manchester City the free kick. The referee ordered Ruperto Claris off the ground. 96 minutes into the match, Caraguatay FC's Fulgencio Umea broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Manchester City had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
