The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bonifacio Iyan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Epifanio Gumaro made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Saturnino Faro sent off a good shot on target. In the 16th match minute, Ticucho AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Dabi to maneuver through the defense. Epifanio Gumaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bonifacio Iyan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilberto Lope sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Epifanio Gumaro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lázaro Fonda in the 24th minute. Ticucho AFC's Bruno Felo got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gilberto Lope took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Virgilio Dubardo. Virgilio Dubardo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Bruno Felo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Virgilio Dubardo having to make a save. Virgilio Dubardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Dabi in the 39th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Gilberto Lope got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute Bruno Felo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Dubardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Felo took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Virgilio Dubardo. Virgilio Dubardo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bonifacio Iyan was the one to do the kick off. Lázaro Fonda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Gumaro having to interfere. Bonifacio Iyan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgilio Dubardo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 64th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Teobaldo Marques. The supporters of Uspallata booed when Ticucho AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariel Tibalt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Epifanio Gumaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silverio Duardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Virgilio Dubardo made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Gilberto Lope sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilberto Lope got free with Virgilio Dubardo in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bruno Felo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90thth minute of the game Bruno Felo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uspallata's Virgilio Dubardo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hector Pacifico's late challenge caught a Uspallata's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hector Pacifico helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd minute, Hector Pacifico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Ticucho AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ticucho AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
