With a little luck, Christophersen 's Tomas Cordarrol got control of the ball when Lucio Benino tried to sneak it across the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Christophersen 's Santos Fernanco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hipolito Umea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Jobo in the 22nd minute of play forced Christophersen 's goalkeeper Tomas Cordarrol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robustiano Hanni charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robustiano Hanni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ben-Hur booed when Christophersen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robustiano Hanni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inocencio Ferrer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Cordarrol having to interfere. Tomas Cordarrol came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Ben-Hur's Lucio Benino. But to his dismay, Lucio Benino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Hipolito Umea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benito Gustau in the 43rd minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benito Gustau was the one to do the kick off. 59 minutes into the match, Christophersen 's goal looked a bit too open when Inocencio Ferrer came free, but Tomas Cordarrol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ben-Hur's goalkeeper Hipolito Umea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tomas Cordarrol didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isaac Jobo went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Tomas Cordarrol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaac Jobo in the 88th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Jobo in the 96th minute of play forced Christophersen 's goalkeeper Tomas Cordarrol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
