After a defensive mix-up in Independiente F.C's zone, Sergio Orlandus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonides Horado came out of the goal and Sergio Orlandus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Desiderio Eskuin fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Independiente F.C's protests and gave Desiderio Eskuin a yellow card for diving instead. Desiderio Eskuin kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Leonides Horado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Hats, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the game, Abel Guerrero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Independiente F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Christophersen the free kick. In the 46th match minute, Independiente F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Guerrero to maneuver through the defense. Adrian Ederono did an outstanding performance 47 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-1 to the right of an irritated Leonides Horado in the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Santos Silvanito made a kick off. Cristo James took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonides Horado. Leonides Horado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 60 minutes into the match, Christophersen 's goal looked a bit too open when Santos Silvanito came free, but Tomas Cordarrol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonides Horado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Orlandus in the 61st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Benito Gustau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Christophersen 's supporters rose to their feet, but Benito Gustau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonides Horado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomas Cordarrol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santos Silvanito in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute of the match, Santos Silvanito tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tomas Cordarrol saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Independiente F.C's Santos Silvanito got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Sergio Orlandus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Leonides Horado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Cordarrol made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Santos Silvanito sent off a good shot on target. In the 82nd minute Benito Gustau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Horado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Gustavo Cloyo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Independiente F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Sergio Orlandus struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Leonides Horado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Christophersen . Tomas Cordarrol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santos Silvanito in the 92nd minute of play. Benito Gustau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Leonides Horado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Independiente F.C were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Christophersen to leave the ground with a draw.
