Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardo Magdaleno in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anibal Tonio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Carlos Jenaro fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lusampa FC's protests and gave Carlos Jenaro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th match minute, Lusampa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Jenaro to maneuver through the defense. Viamonte's Vicente Cristofor got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
