The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Amancio Cresitobalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albano Cheche having to interfere. Humberto Montez kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Viamonte's zone, Jorge Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anibal Tonio came out of the goal and Jorge Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Buchardo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dante Celino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 24 minutes into the match, Buchardo's goalkeeper Albano Cheche had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vicente Cristofor. Albano Cheche made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Vicente Cristofor sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Viamonte booed when Buchardo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Santikurtz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Vicente Cristofor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albano Cheche made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Amancio Cresitobalo sent off a good shot on target.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorge Fernandes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Viamonte's Erasmo Grabiel got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Cristofor in the 61st minute of play forced Buchardo's goalkeeper Albano Cheche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Buchardo's Enzo Ramos got a free kick in the 90th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Buchardo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Viamonte.
