The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eleuterio Ubelteso hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Teodosio Aimar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romeo Urki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Romeo Urki was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Teodosio Aimar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. The supporters of Rosario Master booed when CLUB S. D. GARAY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Lucado didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cirilo Eduino got free with Romeo Urki in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cirilo Eduino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Romeo Urki made a huge save. In the 44th minute of the game, Edgardo Baumer landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Esteban Cordeiro's late challenge caught a CLUB S. D. GARAY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Esteban Cordeiro helped the player get up and apologised. CLUB S. D. GARAY's Gavino Guifre was substituted for Edgardo Baumer. A collision led to Rosario Master getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Esteban Cordeiro hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Teodosio Aimar made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Rosario Master's zone, Eustacio Umea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amado Koldo came out of the goal and Eustacio Umea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zacarias Atauri struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Amado Koldo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CLUB S. D. GARAY. Samuel Savier's late challenge caught a CLUB S. D. GARAY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zacarias Atauri in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amado Koldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 63 minutes into the game, Cirilo Eduino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Romeo Urki was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Romeo Urki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Eduino in the 69th minute of play. Zacarias Atauri took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amado Koldo. Amado Koldo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Romeo Urki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Savier, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Romeo Urki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Eduino in the 96th minute of play. Chants of CLUB S. D. GARAY echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Rosario Master had held the ball for most of the match.
